The Self Portrait Linocut was a fun project for me. First, we picked a picture and marked all of the black space. Then, using charcoal, we moved the picture from a plain piece of paper to the linoleum block. Afterwards, we carved out all of the negative/white space. Finally, we painted the block and pasted it on a new sheet of paper. My favorite parts of this assignment were carving and painting. The original drawing was difficult and I took too much time trying to make it perfect. Overall I really enjoyed this project, even though it was messy.
