Mya Christensen
My silk-screen t-shirts were created starting with an amusingly creepy vine dripping something mysterious. After I drew out that design, I took it to PhotoShop and added the text. I really liked being able to switch up the color and value combinations. It was fun to see what colors reacted well with white or black. I like how I was able to balance the contrasting space; the lower drips are filled, then there's a little empty space between the smaller drips, the bottom leaves are filled, the upper leaves are empty, and the top text is filled. This design also feels rhythmic with its repetitive drips and leaves and how the text is in alignment with them.
